1. Opening Monologue

Narrator
There were three people. A prostitute, a thief, and a Saint. Both the prostitute and thief wanted to give a gift, to honor the Saint. So, the prostitute went out and sold themselves to get something, but the thief stole that thing from the prostitute and gave it to the Saint. Neither the prostitute or the thief honored the Saint. Little did they know, all the Saint ever wanted, was for both of them to be free. This is their story.

2. Butterflies

Verse 1
Get me lost
Better off to try to try to
Get me lost
Deeper out among the pines is
Better off
Further out to come across a
Butterfly
Fluttering and flapping off from
Pine to pine
Pearly effervescent and
Dechrysalised
Get me lost and bring me back to you

We’ve been friends for long enough to know that friends like us don’t talk this way
Dancing on a fire light, the moon and stars are telling us to stay

Chorus
Cause we’re just kids
Fluttering and floating on a breeze
Fantasy of love between the trees
with the Ground beneath our feet

Cause we’re just kids
Throwing expectations to the shade
Celebrating answers that we prayed
and the Heroes that we made

Whether the manor that brings it to truth
Children of love always prove, we’re butterflies

Verse 2
Get me lost
Running out a foggy trail to
Get me lost
Butterflying ponytail ‘n
Fingers soft
Staring in each other in our
Butterflies
Lashes flutter open on our
Shining eyes
Peering into portions that we
Mortalized
Dig ‘em up and give ‘em back to you

Never did I ever think that someone ever want to bear the blaze
Never was another kid to hear the Voice to make us want to stay

Chorus

Bridge
Little do the birds know, what is floating by
Better than we don’t know, or we’d
Miss another miracle
Simple and satirical
Ruin Writer’s lyrical
Bright ‘n new material like… (Being Kids)

Chorus

3. Bated Breath

Verse 1
Wait ‘til you find the light, that I found
Please let me show you what, and just how
Go and you’ll glow at night, and just be full

Don’t be afraid to show, your whole face
You’re gonna eb and flow, the whole place
Hang in the stars at night, and just be full

Pre-Chorus 1
I can’t have another drink
cause Then I’d tell you how I feel
Heavy minds will start to sink
but Sober hearts, will know it’s real

Chorus
cause You know I know better than I’ve ever been
that We know we is better as a way to live
and I know you know better is a hopeful whim
cause We know we together is the way it is

Verse 2
Don’t be afraid to call, what we can
Truly embrace a Holy flight plan
Running away to all, delights and true

Taking us off the ground, in clear skies
Flying upon the clouds, and likewise
Chasing the morning air, and sunrise dew

Pre-Chorus 2
Count of three we’ll say the truth
for What we know we want to say
we’re Innocent of being youth
Young in love so come what may

Chorus

Pre-Chorus 3
so Don’t be shy I know you do
with Eager fingers in your hair
‘n Rosey color in your hue
Bated breath in lovers’ air

Chorus

4. Kokopelli

Verse 1
Kayak boats and wet sand
Micro brews in both hands
Tattoo sleeve and a sun tan
Floating in blue

Glowing light in night air
Campfire smell in your hair
Golden brown in your stare
Dreaming of you

Chorus
What do you see when you dream at night
do ya’ See my face and come to life
in Older years of golden light
are we Still in love with blurry eyes
Tired feet and withered hands
‘n Slower bones that try to dance
and Old familiar phrases feel like home

Verse 2
Champagne air as we fly
Purple clouds that roll by
Airplane wings and a sunrise
Eagles above

Brushing breeze and rain storms
Mountain peaks in cloud form
Kokopelli candor
Falling in love

Chorus

Bridge
‘n I smile, and your Eyes wide, butterFlies finding Life
I call, and your Lips fall, onto Mine finding Flight

Chorus

5. Make A Home

Verse 1
I can build a wall
Finish up a floor
Clean an attic out
Strip another door
Hang a ceiling light
Set another drawer

Pre-Chorus 1
I can use the lumber
Blood ‘n sweat ‘n tears
Keep you from the rain so many years

Chorus 1
i’ll Build this house
you’ll Make a home
we’ll Raise these fields
and Give what’s grown
we’ll Love these walls
of Brick and stone

Pre-Chorus 2
I can keep the cold back
Shovel out the snow
Keep the fire burning in the stove

Chorus 1

Bridge
and I believe that we can, All against our chances,
to build and shine this pebble into diamonds and pearls
Starting on the inside, Beat our circumstances,
showing the World…

Chorus 2
that we’ll Build this house
‘n we’ll Make a home
we’ll Raise these fields
and Give what’s grown
we’ll Love these walls,
of Brick and stone

Outro
cause I can front the money
if You can-front your heart
and We’ll just count these 30 year romantic dividends

6. Wedding Birds

Verse 1
I feel a little tense
In a little time
With a little smile
I see it in a hope
Making it a home
Making it a life
Please, let me wash your feet
Here, beneath the trees
to Show, our families, we’re one

Chorus
and these Birds, let ‘em sing
from Tower perches in pine tree churches
of Words, heart and ring
from Hearts compassion in truer fashion
I Vow, on my Life
this Prayer of wedding birds
on my Life, I Vow
this Prayer of wedding birds

Verse 2
So stunning in a sight
Glowing in a light
Letters in the bark
We feel it in the air
Under every star
Lovers in the dark
Dance, freely in the tent
Pulling closer scent
To and fro we went, we’re one

Chorus

Bridge
I, lay down my life, and better off, to raise a queen
No, and never ought, I’ll bear the mud, to keep her clean
Pull, the weight on the hill, ‘n fashion to kill, the doubt of the beast
Stand, to burden the cold, between the woman and the road

Chorus

7. Shine

Verse 1
Winning ticket for the raffle, has a tendency to baffle, wandering hearts upon the sea
Took a hold upon the piton, when I knew that I was smitten, just in case I’d get esprit

Grayer hair says it’s awhile, since I felt like I’m a child, but you found a younger me
You sent caution to the seaside, let it go out to the deep tide, float away to being free

Pre-Chorus
Chains might bind me
Stains untie me…

Chorus
…when you Shine, and you make me fall like rain
and I could be Under waves or overwhelmed, or lucid just the same
…until you Shine, illuminate again

then we be a Better force, to run the course,
to Prove the world we both endorse,
that Love will make you gratefully insane

Verse 2
Brittle flowers for the hour, cupid cocoa to devour, clear the air for lonely tears
Salty cheeks and amber lenses, inexplosive circumstances, mellowed out by bitter beers

You chose loneliness and highways, I took butterflies and Steinways, when they gave you lips to smear
You came back to brick and mortar, when they left you feeling shorter, hollowed out, and puppeteered

Pre-Chorus

Chorus

Bridge
…inSane to pull you back again and tear you out of sleep
Crazier the mountaintop to want to take the leap
Beaten bloody understudy captive in your keep
Luminary drowning in the deep

Chorus

8. Eye to Eye

Verse 1
there was Truth behind the mirror
but it Only shows one way
when the Sunshine made it clearer
you couldn’t Hide what all was fake

with reFlections in the water
too disTorted to explain
broken Parts you tried to cotter
several Years you killed in days

Pre-Chorus 1
i’d a Rather you’d a told me then to lied
i’d a Rather you’d a showed me then to hide
i’d a Rather we’d a healed it then to died
‘n i’d a Rather cleaned the makeup on the face behind the bride

Verse 2
when you Told me you were slippin’
didn’t Worry at the start
when your Love became the question
did you Give up on my heart

we are Not a contradiction
we are More than only words
but I won’t live with false predictions
and I won’t live to be loved third

Pre-Chorus 2
when you Told me what you meant behind your vows
when you Told me what you did beneath your blouse
when you Told me where you went to be aroused
when you Told me what it tasted like in someone else’s mouth

Chorus
Where was this before
before I said I do
did I see the Signs, or was there Writing on the wall

you Went and flipped a switch
and ya’ lied about the truth
did I know it’s There, but tell myself it’s really small

Now I know all of why it hurts so bad,
to Meet you eye to eye

Verse 3
when the World you made your anthem
with an Empty platitude
and to my Heart you held for ransom
and my Kindness you abused

for every Time I gave redemption
and every Time I gave you space
Hypnotized with lost abandon
ya’ Hid your Trophies in your case

Pre-Chorus 3
did the Grass you thought was greener start to die
did the Bed you went to sleep in feel alive
did the Flattery they gave you form your lies
did you Ever get the answer that you looked for in your thighs

Chorus

Bridge
you can’t retract and say the world made you do it,
Cause you gave it your control
did you Try to find a lover and a loser,
steal their Heart to make you whole

did you Feel it when you walked away from plenty
did you Feel it when you realized they were empty

Chorus

9. Calluses

Verse 1
Subtly the broken me is rough around the edge
but Other than apologize I’d rather say instead
that “What you feel are calluses I’ve earned in my defense.
the Pain of living in benevolence”

Verse 2
I Could be shallow hearted and just blame it on the past
but It would be inaccurate to call it overcast
Fire lies through hollow eyes in cartridges of brass
with Pleasantries you wrapped in fiberglass

Chorus
I don’t have the battle wounds you brag about in bars
but Living with the searing pain that doesn’t give you scars
You could call these calluses a living piece of art
with Reparations for a weathered heart

in Darker days of fighting off the beast
these Calluses are what deliver me

Verse 3
Ropes around the blood drawn round been ended by the bell
Sitting in the corner of the battle ground from Hell
Referee enticing me to throwing in the towel
Bruises left to lie and say farewell

Verse 4
Heatedly you’re daring me to force me to repress
Fight or flight, to spark ignite a Damoiseau distress
Burning at your nervousness in hopes that I regress
Building walls to hide behind your mess

Chorus

Verse 5
i’m Growing proud of calluses to show you where I stand
because I took the challenges you brazen at your hand
i’ll Never lie to justify a broken-hearted Banns
so one day maybe you will understand

Bridge
cause We didn’t know what we were doing
the World said “You’re already late.”
and Who made sex required wooing
for Wounded people trying to date

cause We were broken little pieces
and Pieces that didn’t make us whole
‘n We should’ve wait another evening
and Healed our pieces on our own.

cause We’re worth waiting for a lifetime
Life time is shorter after all
i Wish we’d put away our feelings
i Wish we’d known this all along

Instrumental

Chorus

10. Ligatory

Verse 1
Staring at me for the slander
Knowing I very well, can
Fettering off silly banter
and Calling me no man

Telling the world I’m a liar
Faces to play for the, crowd
Leaving a soul in the fire
and Teardrops on the ground

Telling me off for the thoughts of the crowd,
inStead of who you are

Chorus
cause I Wanted me to hate you,
the World told me I should
“Lay her down and cut her out,
cause You know that you could.”

Movies full of slander,
the House is full of wood
to Burn you into debt for family favor,
Wring you out for money’s bitter flavor,
but I know that’s not (but God knows that’s not)

Verse 2
Pulling away from your ember
Trying to give you no, doubt
Filling the oil for lanterns
and Finding my way out

Keeping the air from your fire
Throwing the water on, fear
Trading you blankets for hire
to Show you solace here

Nigh is the matter to give you a home,
to Falling on your ear

Chorus

Bridge
Draining off the butcher table, try to stay alive
Coloring the hangman’s cable, we made black and white
Love without a heart of hatred in each other’s eyes

Better a lover of distance choose,
to Save you in the end

Chorus

11. 11 11

Verse 1
did it Ever cross your mind when you lied
when you Felt the pressure building in the bottom of your spine
and Faked a face of honor when you looked into my eyes
and Told the world around you that your countenance was fine
and Doubled down and cheated as you’re running out of time
did it Ever cross your mind?

Verse 2
did it Ever cross your mind when you ran
when your Running further from me was all part the devil’s plan
and Split us up would more than wreck the power that we can
and Send you off to wander in the lie of desert sand
and Putter out a reason for a life of second chance
did it Ever cross your mind?

Verse 3
did it Ever cross your mind in that kiss
when you Felt her fingers floating pulling in to eager hips
and Pushed a line of true divine into a dark abyss
and Tethered off a drunken artist to a lying myth
and Gutted out a missing lamb He sent you out to get
did it Ever cross your mind?

Verse 4
did it Ever cross your mind in the dark
when you Stripped her glory naked in the backseat of her car
and Pulled a knife across her soul and opened every scar
and Tore a virgin flower from the ground within the park
and Hollowed out and filled with doubt a daughter with a spark
did it Ever cross your mind?

Verse 5
did it Ever cross your mind when you left
when you Carried off the dog and left me spinning in my head
and Amber lenses on your car of demon eyes of red
and Curdled pools of blood behind the wounded life you led
and Remnants of a dreaming of the man you’d always wed
did I Ever cross your mind?
did I Ever cross your mind?
did I Ever cross your mind?

12. Legalist Papers

Verse 1
cause I could take this wedding gown
and Burn this bloody building down
or Drink to filter out the noise
turn Women’s bodies into toys

or Drug myself to numb the pain
and Piss upon your family name
or Cut my skin and shave my head
or Trash you on the internet

or Force your hand to be the knife
that Threatens you, to take my life
and Maybe then you’d feel inside
the Pain you left behind

Chorus 1
cause nobody Mentions in legalist papers
all of the Time’s when you fought for the cause
or woke in the Evening protecting you sleeping
and cherished the Moments you wanted to pause

all of the Smiles and laughter and gestures
just when you Know that it only gets better
every Storm that you’re willing to weather get
twisted and Broken and put back together

all of the Love be reduced to a vapor and
printed on Ink into legalist papers

Verse 2
and I could do a thousand else
but All it’d do is hate myself
to See myself with bitter eyes
beCome the man I too despise

and Pick a choice of bottom shelf
and Send my sorry soul to Hell
and Leave the world a mess to find
the Pain I had inside

Chorus 1

Verse 3
or Also I could too forgive
to Feel the sun and smell the wind
i’ll Trade for joy what gave me pain
and Dance for love in summer rain

i’ll Sing for peace on mountain high
and Fly through constellation skies
with Hope for better days again
with Those of which I do depend

cause If I choose to stay above
for Maybe those I choose to love
then They won’t have to bear the size
of Pain I’d leave behind

Chorus 2
cause all that I Wanted remembered on paper
was all of the Times that I fought for the cause
and woke in the Evening protecting you sleeping
and cherished the Moments I wanted to pause

all of the Smiles and laughter and gestures
kept for the Value of accurate records
every Storm we was willing to weather
for others to Know that it’s worth every effort

but know if to Stop and let go of a vapor
and find their own Freedom in legalist papers

13. Man in the Making

Verse 1
I am an apprentice slowly learning how to sculpt
while Learning how to keep my chisel sharp
Cutting in a pattern in a Rugged piece of stone
disCovering a piece of hidden art

Don’t know what I’m seeking and I cannot see the end
Try defining everything I’m feeling down in pen
Whether not I ever try to chisel once again
Chips I take will show me who I am

Chorus
Chisel is subtly shaking
Fingertips steadily aching
Moment is mine for the taking
a Man in the Making

Verse 2
I am an apprentice slowly learning how to fail
while Learning how to keep a gentle heart
Picking up the pieces to another broken rock
and Picking up my head again to start

Worry of my failure causes focus to disband
Drifting focus makes me put the hammer to my hand
Anger at the hammer makes me want to quit again
Passions make me have another chance

Chorus

Bridge
I’ll spend my time watching winters turn to spring
My wrinkle lines will hide the past of everything
I’ll celebrate I made the honey from a sting

do what my Soul inclines
writing a Story line
letting the Chisel guide
me to a Newer life

Chorus

Verse 3
I am still a child slowly learning how to fall
while Walking all the way back to begin
Marking on my map all of the places not to go
and Building up my courages within

God I send another prayer up flying
You’re the only reason I’m still here
cause I can’t stand another day in hiding
Some point gotta say to Hell with fear.

Chorus
